Introduction
Lixir distills decisions, not meetings. It's a Slack app that turns the places where your team already talks — channels — into a place where you can actually resolve things, asynchronously and on the record.
The problem
Most team questions don't actually need a meeting — but they get saved for one anyway. The result: standups and weekly syncs filled with conversations relevant to two or three people, or a mix of small decisions nobody wanted to be the first to make async. Everyone else sits through it, and the handful of questions that do need a real discussion get squeezed into the last five minutes.
How Lixir helps
Lixir flips the default. Every question starts in the channel with enough structure to actually be answered:
/askopens a structured modal — title, context, question, and optional links. Lixir posts it to the channel with Approve, Reject, and Discuss at Meeting buttons so the team decides in place.- Meetings become the exception, not the default. Items only move to the agenda when someone explicitly clicks Discuss at Meeting — because they need a real conversation, not because nobody got around to replying.
/agendais your pre-read. Each agenda item already has the asker's context and links attached, so the meeting starts with everyone on the same page instead of 10 minutes of "so, what's this about?".- Reminders and nudges chase non-voters so decisions don't rot. Stale-question nudges, asker escalation, and deadline reminders all work out of the box.
- Privacy-first. Lixir never stores question content server-side — titles, context, and options live in the Slack message, not the database. See the security page for the full posture.
Who it's for
Teams that already run on Slack and want fewer standups, cleaner decision trails, and a single place where "did we decide X?" has an answerable link.
